Miss Charolais USA

Kendra Elder is the 18 year-old daughter of Vince and Meghan Elder, of Blum, Texas.  Since birth, she has grown up in the livestock industry.  Kendra, along with her family, raises a small herd of Charolais and Chianina-cross cattle. She began showing at the age of eight, where she has competed successfully at the local, state, and national levels. Kendra has had the opportunity to attend ten AIJCA Junior Nationals and has enjoyed and benefited from every one of them. In high school, Kendra is very involved in the FFA, where she serves as the chapter’s First Vice-President. She is also a member of her school’s National Honor Society, Student Council, and Peer Assistant Leaders (PALS).  She is currently an honor student at Whitney High School, where she is ranked in the top 10% of her class. Upon graduation from high school, in May of 2017, Kendra plans on attending Texas A&M University where she will major in Agricultural Communications with a possible minor in Broadcast Journalism.
